Hello,

I am currently trying to install YDL 4.0.1 on to my Powerbook G4.
Everything was going pretty smoothly except for the fact that I can not
seem to get the mouse to work. I have tried everything. I have to
confess I am a bit of a newbie when it comes to Linux, but have had
some experience in the past with x86 installations.

I read somewhere that I need to "point /dev/mouse to /dev/input/mice"
How do I do this and what does it mean?

Many thanks for the help,

Charlie

Option "ZAxisMapping" "4 5"
Option "Protocol" "IMPS/2"
Option "Device" "/dev/input/mice"

You must to have a Powerbook 2005.

The mouse of this powerbook is USB and not ADB and can not to be
configuated by Linux in YellowDog or any other distribution, the model
is too new. The solution is to get one USB mouse and connect it
externaly. I did it myself and all work fine.

YellowDog ppl is promising a fix soon (new kernel may be).

Hope this help.

Pietro,

Thank you! I am using a USB mouse and all works fine. I will look out
for a fix on the trackpad.

Kind regards,
