iMac G3 debian 5 ppc gui

Hi.
iMac G3 with Debian 5.04 ppc. Console works fine, but the
font is slightly out of bounds so that half of the command
line is visible.
The Gui had the black screen (long known for r128 in G3)
until the xorg.conf was manipulated according to googled
advice. Now the gdm screen comes up ok, but freezes after
login info.
My current xorg.conf and log are appended.
Who can help?
