Mandriva has a PPC (g3/g4/g5) distribution and they are still
based in Paris. look at http://www.mandriva.com
You could also try ubuntu linux for PPC as well they also have
French versions. Look on www.penguinppc.org (or is it .com?) to look
at all of the different PPC linux distros. I don't speak French but I
do have a Power PC mac myself (a G3 iMac) and I run Slakintosh on
mine.
