I must use bootx.
i have already install mandrake 8.2 ppc but i prefer debian.
The problem is i don't know how to install debian ppc with bootx.

I have : - a cdrom of debian ppc
- bootx installed on a small partition of mac os 9.1

Does anyone have already done this ?
There is a lot of tutorials for ibook and others mac, but for me i don't
find nothing.

I find YDL 4 works fine -- no problem with bootX, though you have to
follow a couple of tutorials whose URLs escape me for the moment. I have
basically the same spec of machine as you -- it's not quick, YDL is
slightly bloaty, but it works a treat.

I have recently installed Debian Sarge on a PowerMac G3 beige DT, I just
copied kernel image and initrd from the first CD to disk and told bootx
to use them (kernel needs to be in the "Linux Kernels" subfolder of the
system folder). Can't remember the exact file names, sorry, but should
be easy to find.
