Hi everybody,

I've been trying to install Debian Lenny on my Mac Mini G4 whose DVD
drive doesn't recognize burned CDs…
I tried to install from CD, DVD, even tried to set up a DHCP server
which would upload install boot files… without success.
I also booted the DVD from a PowerBook G4 with the Mac Mini as a
target drive (fails during installation).
At last, I tried to boot from a HFS+ partition with yaboot and other
stuff on it : http://www.debian.org/releases/stable/powerpc/ch05s01.html#boot-newworld
Nothing works and I'm really disappointed. Could anyone help me ?
Thanks in advance
Damien

you can try netinstall or you can remove your hdd then install through
your macmini.
for a working netinstall (from scratch) you need a tftp and a nfs
server.
I think that simplest way is to remove your hdd, to put it in a usb
external case and then install into it using your pbook.
